The Raupenschlepper Ost, short RSO, was built in 1942, after in the winter of 1941/42 on the East Front had to stuck that even all-wheel drive trucks in the Russian sludge had to be stuck. Steyr developed the RSO in collaboration with Ferdinand Porsche using components of Steyr 1500 A.
